A law suit in California evaluated by the California court ruled on March 28 that Coffee retailers in California should warn.
The Council for Education and Research on Toxins - the group behind the lawsuit - is also for penalizing companies that don't warn the customers that coffee contains Acrylamide. According to the National Cancer Institute Acrylamide is a chemical commonly used in industrial processes like paper and plastic making. It is found in some foods . It can also be produced when vegetables that contain the aminoacid Aspargine are heated to high temperatures in the presence of certain sugars (eg :-potatoes).
The Coffee - Cancer link is not proven and need not deter you from having your favorite Hot Coffee a couple of times a day. Also, remember too much of Acryilamide could pose health risks.
Bottom line, it is up to you to decide whether you want to drink Coffee, but as with everything else there can’t be too much of a good thing!!!!
